Nebraska Ranch Practicum
The Nebraska Ranch Practicum is a three-season, hands-on educational program designed to give participants the skills and education needed in today's complex ranching industry.

Midwest FEEDS Practicum
The Midwest FEEDS (Forage, Education, and Efficiency in Diversified Systems) Practicum is a hands-on, multi-session educational program tailored for cattle producers. All sessions are held at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREEC) near Ithaca, NE.

Nebraska Feedlot Roundtables
The annual Nebraska Feedlot Extension Roundtables bring professionals from the industry to three locations across the state to address timely topics relevant to feedlot management.

Range Beef Cow Symposium
The Range Beef Cow Symposium, held biennially since 1969, is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Service and animal science departments at the University of Wyoming, South Dakota State University, Colorado State University, and the University of Nebraska. Known for its practical production management insights, the symposium rotates among Colorado, western Nebraska, western South Dakota, and Wyoming, focusing on beef production issues in the Western U.S.
The 2025 Range Beef Cow Symposium will be hosted by the University of Wyoming, with dates and location to be announced.
Stocker/Yearling Tour
Held annually at a different location each year, this tour gives producers a chance to connect with other producers and see how a stocker/yearling component can offer flexibility and profitability to a cow-calf operation. Guest speakers address current topics and hosts share what has worked and what hasn't.

Cow-Calf Field Day
Cow-calf research updates, technology demonstrations, and a tour will be shared at USMARC near Clay Center. Registration is encouraged for meal planning- $20 fee covers lunch & materials.

Fundamentals of Feeding the Cow
This four-session webinar series is focused on understanding how the cow’s nutrient requirements change throughout the year and how to cost-effectively meet a cow's needs with grazed or harvested feed.

Beef Cow Basics Online Course
Since 1993, more than 5,500 beef producers, feed consultants and veterinarians from more than 40 states have used the Beef Basics courses to further their education. The courses are written by extension educators, extension specialists, producers and veterinarians and are producer-reviewed before being introduced to the public.
