Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Will the TDN% change between wet distillers and modified wet distillers? Assuming that the two products came from the same plant and batch. My feeds composition sheet shows 101% WDG and 99% DDGS. Nothing for MWDG.

A:   Our data suggest that modified distillers grains (MDGS) when fed in forage diets is 125% (112.5% TDN) the energy value of corn grain (90% TDN). The energy value of MDGS in grain diets varies depending on the inclusion rate in the diet and will range from 105%(94.5% TDN) to 125% (112.5% TDN) the energy value of corn grain.
