Q: Does the University have any guidelines or surveys regarding the average stocking/grazing rate for cow/calf operations in eastern Nebraska, or Washington County, more specifically?

A: There are a couple of Extension Circular publications that would have information pertaining to stocking rate information. These are the Nebraska Handbook of Range Management (EC92-124-E) and A Guide for Planning and Analyzing a Year-Round Forage Program (EC86-113-C). These can be obtained from your local county Extension office or contact me directly.
